Statements Of Faith
This is the statement of Bible doctrine as believed and taught by Initiators of Change Ministries. This statement of faith has its source in the Bible and is in total agreement with the foundational principles of the doctrines of Christ.

About God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God
(Gen.1:1, 26, 27, 3:22, Ps.90:2,
Matt. 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2,
2 Cor. 13:14).

About Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His person, future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years (Matt. 1:22, 23; Isa.9:6, John 1:1-5; Heb.4:14, 15; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Rom.1:3, 4, Acts1:9-11,
1 Tim.6:14, 15; Titus 2:13).

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is divinely inspired, infallible and entirely trustworthy. It is therefore the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct (2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Pet. 1:20, 21,
2 Tim 1:13, Psalm 119:105,160, Psalm 12:6, Prov. 30:5).

Water Baptism
We believe in the water baptism of believers as an outward symbol of cleansing – the washing of the body with pure water – after the heart has already been sprinkled with the blood of Jesus as an inner cleansing. It is therefore a declaration to the world that the believer died with Jesus and has been raised with Him to walk in newness of life (Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47-48, Rom. 6:4, Acts 20:21,
Hebrews 10:22).

Holy Spirit Baptism
We believe in the baptism of believers as a unique work of the Holy Ghost the evidence of which is the speaking of other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance
(Acts 2:4).

Holiness
We believe the scriptures show the way to a life of holiness without which no man shall see God and that total sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in the obedience of God’s word (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 1:15-16, 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24,
1 John 2:6).

Evangelism
We believe in the propagation of the gospel through the demonstration of the Holy Spirit
(1 Corinthians 2:4, 4:20).

Divine Health & Healing
We believe that all believers are entitled to divine health – deliverance from sickness because of the death and finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:4-5,
Matthew 8:16-17).

Second Death
We believe in the second death; when the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and all whose names are not found written in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone
(Rev. 19:20, Rev. 20:10-18).

The Return Of Jesus
We believe in the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the dead just at His coming. His coming is imminent; we must prepare to meet Him!
“… this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall also come in the like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11,
1 Thess. 4:16-17).
