Receive an Identity

Every blessed day, thousands of people take their final breath and slip into eternity; either into heaven or into hell. Although we may never know their names, the reality of death happens every day. What happens the moment after a person dies? What happens the moment after you die depends on what happens before you die. The Bible classifies the whole human race into two broad categories – the saved and the lost. The saved are those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The lost are those who haven’t. After death, what happens to the saved is radically different from what happens to the lost. The saved will be carried by the angels of the Lord into the presence of Christ in heaven. Jesus said to the thief on the cross, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with me in Paradise” Luke 23:43. On two different occasions, Paul spoke of death as ushering us into the presence of Christ (Philippians 1:23, 2 Corinthians 5:8). On the contrary, if one has not been saved according to what the Word of God proclaims, they will not go to heaven. Sadly, they will go to hell                (Luke 16:22-23, Revelation 20:11-15). People in Hell are tormented by extreme heat, smoke, fire, and worms (Luke 16:22-24, Mark 9:48-49, Isaiah 66:24, Matthew 25:46, Psalms 88:6, Jude 1:13, Luke 13:28). If you’re Breathing, You Have a Purpose

God didn’t create anything without a purpose. If you’re breathing, you have a purpose. In Christ, you have something to offer the world. When God made you, he wired you in a certain way and uniquely shaped you for a contribution. Nobody has been you in the past or will be you in the future. God doesn’t create clones or copies. Even identical twins are different in thousands of ways. Your thumbprint, voice, footprint, heartbeat, and eyes are unique. You’re not one in a million. You’re one in trillions. God custom made you. And he wants you to be you. You may have heard all your life, “Why can’t you be more like (your brother or sister or friend)?” But if God hadn’t wanted you to be you, then you wouldn’t exist. And, yet, you may spend your life trying to be somebody you’re not. When you do that, you miss your whole purpose. God did not make you and put you here on this planet just to breathe air, take up space, and die. If you’re here, there’s a contribution that only you can make (Ephesians 2:10). You are God’s masterpiece. Before you were born, God planned the good things he wanted you to do with your life. In other words, he gave you a ministry. Everybody has a ministry. You can find your ministry by looking at how God shaped you. He gave you unique spiritual gifts, abilities, and experiences to help other people. When you see how you are shaped and use that shape to bless others, then you will find your ministry. And you will find your purpose.

Pay the Price (Sacrifice)

It is the sacrifice you make today that will determine where you will be tomorrow. You must invest into your future. There cannot be a rise without a price. Every man that must be the best must make sacrifice based on where he wants to be and what he wants in life. Many people want to be the best but are not ready to make any sacrifice. Until you forego something, you will never go up. There are certain pleasures you have to let go now to gain the treasures of tomorrow. Be willing to sacrifice and not to compromise. In the race of life, only those that are willing to pay the price, get the prize (Philippians 3:8, 14).

Sacrifice is the greatest secret of great men. No man can be the best without sacrifice. There is time for sacrifice and time for enjoyment. Sacrifice is not for once but should be a lifestyle. Sacrifice continually and consistently. If you want to be the best, learn to live a sacrificial life! God bless you!

God Is Real, No Matter How You Feel

It’s easy to worship God when things are going great in your life. When He’s (God) provided food, friends, family, health, and happy situations. But circumstances are not always pleasant. If I may ask, ‘how do you worship God then?’ ‘What do you do when God seems a million miles away?’

The deepest level of worship is praising God in spite of pain, thanking God during a trial, trusting Him when tempted, surrendering while suffering, and loving Him when He seems distant. That’s when worship gets difficult. To mature you’re your relationship with God, God will test it with periods of seeming separation – times when it seems as if he has abandoned or forgotten you. In such periods God may feel a million miles away from you. It’s worth noting that in such situation God is more close to you than the air you breathe or the dress you are wearing.

God called King David “a man after my own heart” (see 1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22), yet David sometimes complained about God’s apparent absence (Psalm 10:1, Psalm 22:1, Psalm 43:2, Psalm 44:23; 74:11; 88:14; 89:49).

Of course, God hadn’t really left David, and he’ll never leave you. God has promised repeatedly, “I will never leave you; I will never abandon you” (Hebrews 13:5 GNT).

The Dangers of Unforgiveness

Unforgiveness is not a characteristic trait of God. God’s nature or substance of being is love. He (God) is an epitome of perfect love. This is why love is classified as the greatest. It (love) can never come to an end. If love could come to an end, then God could also come to an end since God is love (1 John 4:8, 1 John 4:16). Perfect love has forgiveness as one of its fruitage. Perfect love does not hold unto grudges, hurts, bitterness or resentments. One major characteristic of perfect love is that it has the ability to forgive without struggle. When perfect love is in demonstration, there is an attitude of true forgiveness.

Unforgiveness is never a friend but an illusory enemy which lures men into fatal destruction. It (unforgiveness) comes clothed in a deceptive gown called justice but its end result is fatal destruction. The greatest punishment that one can ever give to his or herself is to harbor bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness in his or her entire being. When you harbor unforgiveness, bitterness and resentment in your being, you’re not hurting the person who caused the pains, you are actually harming yourself. Its (harboring unforgiveness) just like drinking poison and hoping that your offender who is void of the poison you drunk should die in your stead. How possible is this? It’s impossible for another to die for one who drinks poison.

Unforgiveness is very poisonous. It is (Unforgiveness) poisonous than the venom of a deadly serpent. The poison of unforgiveness has only one antidote which is forgiveness. The lack of forgiveness can wear you down. It’s a deadly disease that can be likened unto cancer cells that spreads throughout every cell or organ of its prey’s being. There is a huge relationship between forgiveness and health. Most ailments such as some forms of cancer, stroke, heart disease, blood pressure and many others, in most cases are as a result of unforgiveness. If someone hurts you, don’t spend the rest of your life living in the hurt. You do damage to yourself when you choose to dwell in the hurt caused against you. Get this from me; the feelings of unforgiveness which you habour in your being never harms the source or the perpetrator. It only harms the one harboring it. Most likely, the person that you are holding grudge against isn’t even thinking about you, while you are dwelling on the incident for years. Do yourself good by letting go of hurts and resentments. Anytime you forgive the person who hurt you; you are actually helping yourself more than the person you are forgiving (For more information on this subject matter get my book, “The Dangers of Unforgiveness”).

Moral Integrity in a Fallen World

There is no question that we are living in a time when standards of conduct have dramatically changed. Ungodliness, perversion, and an “anything goes” mentality are the norm. Unfortunately, as Jesus’ return draws near, these things will only increase. We should not be surprised when we see immorality on the rise, but instead, we should look to the Word of God as our guideline for how we should conduct our lives. Maintaining moral integrity in a fallen world is the responsibility of every Christian.

God has given us specific codes of conduct for a reason, and it is not because He is trying to be mean or diminish the quality of our lives in any way. On the contrary, His standards are designed toenhance our quality of life and keep us in a place of divine protection. When we adhere to His Word, we can avoid a lot of the problems that come with sin and an unrenewed mindset.

Our obedience to the moral principles of the Bible really boils down to one word – honor. When we honor God, His Word holds weight in our lives. We cannot say we truly love Him without obeying what He tells us to do. In John 14:15 Jesus says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” Obeying God is the acid test of our love for Him. On a practical level, that means if He says we should not dishonor our bodies by engaging in sexual sin, we refrain from fornication. If He says we must renew our minds to acquire His thoughts, we make it our priority. We simply do what He says because He loves us.

In order to maintain moral integrity in today’s society, it is going to be imperative that we absolutely make God’s Word our final authority. We must believe with every fiber of our being that the Bible is right and that God doesn’t change His mind about what has been written. The moment we begin to accept contradictory ideas about what is right or wrong, we are setting ourselves up for compromise. We must remain established in the truths found in the Scriptures at all costs. I don’t know about you, but I want to see the Lord. I look forward to the day when I get to meet Him face to face. The truth of the matter is, without holiness and agreement or alignment with God’s standards, a person will not get to see Him or experience His wonderful presence for eternity. We must make the decision to live in a way that pleases Him so we can enjoy the eternal rewards that await us in Heaven. Even though it can be a challenge during these most turbulent times, making the commitment to moral integrity is in our best interest, both now and forever.

What is Faith?

Faith is a potent spiritual force which grasps the unrealities and brings them into the realm of reality. The Bible says,

“Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;” 1Corinthians 3:21, 22

All of God’s blessings are spiritual. They (God’s blessings) dwell in the spirit realm. They cannot be accessed with our physical strategies and theories. It is faith which draws these spiritual blessings from the spiritual realm into this physical realm of life (Galatians 3:14).

Faith is a product of the spirit. It is not born of sense knowledge or the flesh. In other words, it has nothing to do with the intellectual realm or our five physical senses. It (Faith) comes from within (the spirit of the believer) therefore any faith outside the spirit of man cannot produce the results of God. It is only the spirit of man that can feed on the Word of God and draw out nutrients for building up faith into ones system (spirit). The Word of God was made for our spirit man and not for the flesh. This is why God’s Word is foolishness unto those that perish because it dwells in their fleshly realm. The Bible says,

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned 1 Corinthians 2:14.

You cannot understand the Word with your mind or physical senses, it is spiritually discerned. The mind only understands the teachings and perceptions of the five physical senses. The five physical senses are responsible for educating the mind. Without these senses, the brain is unfruitful and in terrible danger of perishing. The five senses – seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling and tasting – are all physical doors that lead to the brain.

Before the fall, man had perfect fellowship with God. He lived in the realm of the spirit (His spirit ruled him, and his senses were subject to his spirit), but when he sinned and became a partaker of Satan’s nature; his spirit became subordinated to his senses. The spirit understands the Word and is to rule the outer man (Proverbs 20:27). It (spirit) believes in the Word, regardless of physical seeing, hearing and feeling. I often say, what the eye of your spirit man sees is more real than what your two physical eyes see. True reality dwells in our spirit because God is only revealed to man through His spirit. As a result, man must learn to live in his spirit if he wants to go far in his relationship and fellowship with God (Galatians 5:25).

Faith in God is not a religion or religious practice. Faith in God is a response to God’s Word regardless of physical/natural happenings. God works through His Word and not a set of religious rules. He will never do anything outside His Word. When God desired to create a universe, He brought it into being by His Word (Hebrews 11:3, John 1:1-12). The New Creation in Christ was also brought by His word. The Bible says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth forever” 1 Peter 1:23 the Word ‘seed’ in the scripture is translated from the Greek word ‘spora’. That’s where the English word ‘sperm’ came from. When you are born again, you’re born of God’s sperm – His Word.

Jesus did not bring religion as many claim. There is no life in religion. One may ask, didn’t Jesus birth the Christian religion? My answer is a BIG NO. Christianity is bigger than religion. It is God impacting His nature which is Zoe (Eternal life) into our spirit man. Jesus brought life as well as introduces God as a Father unto humanity (No man during that era, knew God as a Father. It was blasphemy to call God as a Father during those days). The Bible says,

“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son” 1 John 5:11

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10.

This is a beautiful picture of what Christianity is all about. Jesus didn’t say I have come “that they might have religion”, but rather “that they might have life”. Zoe made it possible for man to function in real faith (God kind of Faith). God is only pleased with us when we dwell and function in His word which is the mother of faith (Romans 10:17). The Bible says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” Hebrews 11:6. We can’t please God when we walk in our religious ideas, doctrines and traditions. They have nothing in them that our spirit man can feed on to glorify Papa God. God is looking for those who will make His Word the standard for living (Luke 11:28, Luke 8:21, Proverbs 4: 20-23).

Present Them unto God First

When things go wrong in your life, do you look to the world’s methods of solving problems before going to God? Do you put more trust in the institutions of this world’s system than you do the Word of God? As Christians, we must put our hope and faith in God’s way of doing things. This type of trust only develops by cultivating your relationship with Him.

How would you feel if you had a way to help someone you loved but you were the last person they turned to? That could be hurtful because you never want to be someone’s last resort, particularly if you have a relationship with them and they know you well. Likewise, God does not want you to choose Him after everything else you have tried has failed. As your heavenly Father, He wants to be the one you come to first.

Born For Exploits … Tap into It

What is Exploit? Exploit means a notable deed or feat. You are destined to do remarkable things on earth. Nothing is beyond your strength or scope of knowledge in this realm of life. You are bigger than your world no matter your present condition. In 2 Kings Chapter 7, it took four lepers to save a whole nation from severe famine. I have grown through life to believe that there are no mistakes with all of God’s creation. Nature without the interference of man is hundred percent perfect. In Genesis chapter 1 verse 31, the Bible says “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good” Everything God created was very good. Have you ever felt like you were a mistake because nothing good seems to come your way? Have your parent or teachers told you that you are good for nothing? I want you to know that you are not a mistake. You are a part of God’s master plan in bringing glory and beauty to this planet earth. Don’t let the world determine your worth. You carry hidden abilities on your inside which your world cannot see. If I pick up a seed and ask, “What am I holding in my hand?” What will be your answer? Your answer will most probably be a seed. That is not the real truth. It is a fact but the real truth is a forest. Why? Inside that seed is a hidden tree with seeds and inside those hidden seeds are hidden trees with seeds. The cycle goes on. You are not ordinary. You carry on your inside vast wealth of hidden treasures which the eyes of physical men cannot see. When God looks at you, He sees things beyond your physical structure and abilities. The Bible says,

“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;” 1 Corinthians 1:27

“To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,” 1 Peter 2:4

God sees differently from the way man sees. No wonder He (God) came to a frightened young man named Gideon and called him mighty man of valour (Judges 6:12). Think of it, a coward been called a mighty man of valour by the Angel of the Lord? This is wonderful. In a young shepherd boy, who was taken care of his father’s sheep’s in the wilderness, God saw kingship. No one in David’s family saw the seed of kingship in him. They only saw him as the little but troublesome one as a result ruled him out when the prophet Samuel asked for all of Jesse’s sons (1 Samuel 16:11, 1 Samuel 17:28). When God chooses a man, people’s opinions cannot change His (God) mind towards that man. Stop feeding your strength with people’s opinions. Feed your strength with the word of God and you will be energized unto the path of exploits. Hallelujah!!!

The Positive Thinking

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee” Proverbs 23:7

A person is literally what he or she thinks and believes in his or her heart. In other words, your personality is a sum totality of your thought life. Mind management is so important in achieving exploits. Every transformation in a man’s life begins in his mind. The mind is the pace for every change that a man or woman experiences in life. It is a change in the mind that affects a change on the outside. Get this from me; what you think about a situation has a definite effect upon the actual situation before us. If you allow your mind to accept weariness, defeat or sickness, then your body mechanism will automatically respond to such suggestions because your mind has direct control over your body system (nervous system, glands, muscles, heart, blood pressure, and so on). It is not long hours and hard work that drain one’s energy so much it is the result of wrong thinking. The devil knows the importance of the mind. He knows you never gain access to light without the mind. So he has specialized in the ministry of blinding people’s minds.
