Initiators Of Change Ministries (ICM) (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through initiatorsofchange.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Shop orders: your first and last name, email address and phone number, plus the items you buy.
- Forms: your name, contact details and message when you use our contact, prayer request, subscription or newsletter forms.
- Comments: your name, email address and comment if you comment on a post.
- Partnership form: our partnership form is hosted by Google Forms, so what you enter there is also handled under Google’s privacy policy.
Information collected automatically:
- Basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit.
- Cookies (see below).
Prayer requests
We treat prayer requests with care and confidentiality. They are read only by our pastoral and prayer team and are never published or shared outside the ministry without your permission.
How we use your information
- To process your orders, deliver your downloads and send order emails.
- To answer your messages and pray for your requests.
- To send you ministry news and updates, only if you signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and fraud, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Payments
Card and mobile money payments are handled securely by Paystack. We never see or store your full card details. Paystack processes your payment under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored in your browser. They:
- Keep your shopping cart and account working (WooCommerce).
- Help us see how visitors use the site through Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit).
- May be set by embedded content such as YouTube videos, which behave as if you visited YouTube directly.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site (like the cart) may stop working.
Services we share data with
We share only what is needed with trusted services that help us run the site:
- Paystack (payments)
- Google Analytics (visitor statistics)
- Our email service for newsletters and order emails
- Our web host, which stores the website and its data
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes.
- Form messages and prayer requests are kept only as long as needed to respond.
- Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
- Stop sending you marketing messages.

Children
Our website is meant for adults and families. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 18 without a parent or guardian’s consent. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website can be 100% secure, so please contact us straight away if you think your information has been misused.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
